Blooma Hosts Garage Sale for Jenny's Light!
Need
to have a garage sale, but just can't find the time and energy to pull
it all together? Blooma can help you, and you can help Jenny's Light. Saturday,
August 23, from Noon to 6pm, Blooma is hosting a charity garage sale to
benefit the work of Jenny's Light to bring attention to postpartum
illness.
Bring your best gently-used stuff to the Blooma wellness
room on Friday, August 22, between 12:30pm and 6pm. We'll accept clothing (especially for babies and kiddos), toys for tots, small appliances, and other items you'd feel good about handing off to a neighbor in need. Sorry--no electronics, items in need of repair or extensive cleaning, or major appliances. Check here for a specific list. Whatever we don't sell, we'll donate to ARC.
In addition to your used contributions, we need a few good volunteers: If you'd like to help with the sale, please contact Julie Kesti via email or by calling the studio at 952.848.1111. She'll be coordinating volunteers to: sort and price items before the sale, work the day of the sale, and provide child care for those who are helping out.
Whether or not you have items to donate or hours to volunteer, we need lots of shoppers to make this sale a success!

This fall in a unique undertaking, Keith Shelly of Shelly Home Company who is a member of the Southern Living® Custom Builder Program, is using the resources of his company to help Jenny's Light shine even brighter. Keith knew Jenny as she was his point of contact with Southern Living.
The Shelly Home team is remodeling the Alamo Heights location at 429 College Street into a Southern Living showcase
home. Upon completion, this home will be open to the public with 100%
of the proceeds from ticket donations benefiting Jenny's Light. The
target dates are October 4 and 5 and October 11 and 12 of this year. Please visit his website for

Marin County Triathlon Fundraiser

Jenny's Light is honored to be one of three charities benefitting from this fundraiser. They are giving some great prizes to people who help raise money through their website.
Just some of the prizes you can win by fundraising are: A $5,000.00 cash certificate from Toyota Marin off any new Toyota at below their dealer invoice, Sports Basement $25, $50 and $100 Gift Certificates, Larkspur Hotels deluxe lodging, fabulous restaurant dining, REI Gift Certificates, coffee machines for your home, and much, much more.
